Land Based Service Engineer Apprenticeship

Summary

As a Land-Based Engineer, you will engage in a diverse array of tasks involving machinery, plant, and equipment. Unlike marine or aviation equipment, this role focuses specifically on land-based machinery.

The pay may be negotiated and may rise after a probation period has been successfully completed.

Training course: Land-based service engineering technician

Hours: Shifts to be discussed at interview stage. 40 hours a week.

Start date: Tuesday 26 August 2025

Duration: 36 Months

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

• Complete planned engine servicing and repair work
• Provide breakdown assistance for industrial applications
• Complete overhauls of engines
• Install and commission new engine packages
• Assist senior engineers in sourcing and communicating technical support to customers
• Provide onsite diagnostics & fault finding of engines & control systems
