The Strategic Infrastructure (SI) business unit has been established to deliver 17 new major projects across the UK, along with other strategic initiatives to help us achieve our net zero ambitions and assist the UK Government in reaching its 50GW renewable energy target by 2030.

We are currently recruiting for various roles within the Land and Consenting teams to develop a first-class team supporting National Grid’s clean energy goals.

We are looking to hire:

• Surveyors
• Consents Officers
• Land Rights Project Managers
• Senior Consent Project Managers

National Grid offers hybrid working options, combining office and home, and is open to full-time, part-time, and flexible working arrangements.

About you

We seek experts in their fields who are passionate about our mission. Specifically, we are looking for:

Surveyors and Consent Officers

• Experience in project and contract management for land rights projects.
• Resilient yet compassionate, capable of understanding and supporting local residents’ concerns.

Land Rights Project Managers and Senior Consent Project Managers

• Experience in delivering land activities for infrastructure projects, including land access, rights, and negotiations.
• Effective, inclusive leadership with openness to new approaches.

What you'll do

Surveyors and Consents Officers

• Deliver land activities, support multidisciplinary teams, and manage consenting regimes and processes.
• Guide project teams on consenting strategies, risks, and costs, ensuring project development aligns with program and budget.

Land Rights Project Managers and Senior Consent Project Managers

• Lead teams to deliver land rights activities across projects, managing programs, risks, and stakeholder engagement.

What you'll get

Surveyors and Consents Officers

• Salary up to £73,000, plus bonus, pension, company car, 26 days holiday plus options, and share plans.

Land Rights Project Managers and Senior Consent Project Managers

• Salary up to £78,000, plus bonus, pension, company car, holiday options, and share plans.
