Job description

Land Acquisition Manager - Solar, BESS, Onshore Wind

London Office Location - Hybrid Working Pattern

Salary: £50,000 - 60,000 DOE + wider benefits package

Piper Maddox are working with one of the most well established names in the global renewable energy industry with the growth of their operations in the UK. This company has been a mainstay in the sector for close to 20 years and their UK division has been operating for over a decade itself.

Our client is an international leader in renewable energy, having a presence in over 10 different territories across multiple continents. They specialize in the development, construction and operation of utility scale renewable energy assets. Their technology expertise lies in Solar and Battery Storage, and they plan to add Onshore Wind to their UK portfolio in the near future.

The facts and figures back up this company's stature in the market as well. Their global development pipeline sits at over 15GW. With this company being a fully fledged IPP, track record in actually delivering on these projects is important. This company does not disappoint on this front either with >10GW worth of renewable energy assets currently under operational management.

More specific to the UK, in this role, you would be working on a development pipeline of over 1GW. There is a nice balance in the UK team where they are a tight knit and collaborative team, but have the stability and backing of the large global business in the background so they can really focus on delivering quality projects with the peace of mind that finances and backing is solid.

They are looking to add a Land Acquisition Manager to the UK development team who will play a crucial role in the origination of new projects, as well as progressing land consents through on existing projects. The ideal background for this role would be Land Managers already working in renewable energy, or Surveyors who have experience working on renewable energy projects.

Some key experience needed for this role:

> Experience working within the renewable energy sector and the constraints/considerations needed for land acquisition/management within the energy industry.

> A good track record in delivering on the commercial negotiations relating to land acquisitions - heads of terms, easements, option to lease agreements etc.

> Strong network of landowners/land agents, as well as being comfortable and confident engaging/managing rural & agricultural stakeholders.

In this role you would have the chance to work within one of the most stable players in the industry, while working alongside highly experienced colleagues in planning, development, grid, delivery, and construction teams. You can also rest assured that you would see your projects come to fruition, as this company has operational assets in the UK already.
