This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent. You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle, from initial site identification, negotiation, and land/site acquisition, to leading a professional team through planning, obtaining consents, supporting construction, and ongoing asset management.

You will develop relationships with key third parties such as landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers. This role involves ownership of the full development and planning processes from concept to completion, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, the ability to multi-task, and meet tight deadlines.

Note: You will be expected to work at our Gravesend (Northfleet) Property Office or in your designated area at least 3 days per week.

Internal Role Name: Senior Acquisitions Consultant

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals to build new stores.
  • Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage due diligence on legal and planning matters.
  • Manage planning applications from submission to approval and discharge of conditions.
  • Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers.
  • Drive the full development and planning process from concept to completion.
  • Manage real estate assets, including freehold and leasehold properties.
Requirements:
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
  • Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), preferably in a relevant field.
  • Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning.
  • MRICS qualification is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel within the UK.
