Job summary

The Lancashire Wildlife Trust is recruiting a Lancashire Peat Partnership Assistant Project Officer to support peatland surveys and oversee restoration work at Head Office in Preston. You will work outdoors several days a week, collaborating with partners, landowners and volunteers, and gain hands-on experience in habitat restoration and project design.

The role offers a fixed-term contract with full-time hours and a generous holiday entitlement, with training and development opportunities

The Lancashire Peat Partnership are recruiting for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to work as part of the team, helping with surveys and overseeing ongoing peatland restoration work.

This is an exciting opening for anyone looking to further develop a career in peatland restoration and management. You will gain hands on experience in habitat restoration, project design, and survey work, while also having the opportunity to work with partners, external landowners, and volunteers.

The team require someone who can embrace the challenges the role will bring, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and who enjoys working outdoors, as you will be required to work an average of 3 days in the field per week between August-March.

In return, we offer 28 days holidays plus bank holidays per annum, increasing with length of service.
