Job summary

Broadreach Limited is seeking an experienced Thermal Insulation Engineer / Lagger for long-term contracts across the South West, focusing on HVAC/H&V lagging and insulation on commercial and industrial projects. Positions are in Newton Abbot or Newquay with contracts up to 12 months+, security clearance (BPSS/SC) depending on site, and CSCS or equivalent certification required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Lagger / Thermal Insulation Engineer.
• Experience with HVAC/H&V, heating or pipework insulation.
• Experience with cladding/protective finishes.
• Valid CSCS card or relevant trade certification.
• Experience within commercial, industrial or large-scale projects.
• Good understanding of site health and safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Good attention to detail and standard of finish.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out HVAC / H&V lagging and thermal insulation.
• Insulating heating installations, pipework and mechanical services.
• Measuring, cutting and fitting insulation materials.
• Installing protective finishes and cladding.
• Cladding work below 2 metres on the Newton Abbot project.
• Working from drawings, measurements and site specifications.
• Making good and repairing insulation where required.
• Ensuring all installations are completed accurately and to specification.
• Working alongside pipefitters, mechanical engineers and other site trades.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and workmanship.
