A global leader in sustainable packaging is seeking a technician to join their lacquer team. This role involves ensuring the quality and efficiency of coatings usage and providing technical support to line operators. You will adhere to safety regulations and contribute to continuous improvement projects. The position involves a rotating shift pattern, including nights and weekends, and requires a commitment to a clean workspace and accurate record keeping.
The main purpose of our Lacquer Team is to prepare and issue coatings materials to line. To provide specialist technical support to the line operators to ensure a high quality product is produced at the maximum efficiency. Key responsibilities include To observe company health, safety and environmental regulations at all times. To comply with BRC requirements at all times To assist the operators to set, run and clean the washing and spraying units, the external coatings units and the ovens To monitor performance of washing and coating processes at all times to ensure quality and efficiency of coatings usage To trouble-shoot problems on line and recommend preventative measures To carry out continuous improvement projects To carry out operator maintenance of the lacquer machines and to maintain spare parts and change parts in good order To prepare and issue coatings materials to line, inlcuding bookings on SAP To hand over to the on-coming Technician and inform him / her of the state of the lines To remove all waste to the correct bins and maintain a clean and tidy workplace To maintain accurate records according to Ball Aerosol Packaging UK Ltd requirements To carry out any other duties as requested by Management To adhere to ISO9001 and ISO 14001 requirements This role is working a rotating shift pattern which includes days, nights and weekends. The shift pattern is shown below. The hours are 6am - 6pm and 6pm-6am The rotation is 4 weeks on days and 4 weeks on nights The work week is Week 1 - Mon - Tues - Fri - Sat - Sun Week 2 - Wed - Thurs Ball Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
