Our Team and the Role

Our nationwide Trenching and Shoring division hires a range of equipment across the construction, utilities, and infrastructure industries to identify the correct solutions for safe excavations using trench boxes, trench sheets, and brace systems.

The Labourer Driver, working in the depot, is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the workshop and yard areas, ensuring tools are stored correctly, and that areas are hazard-free.

Additionally, the Labourer Driver must ensure that any plant equipment leaving the depot is pressure cleaned, refueled, and documented accurately in fuel logs.

The role also involves loading, delivering, and collecting hire equipment to and from customer sites efficiently and professionally. On-site, the candidate may need to demonstrate hire equipment and complete all related checks and administrative tasks accurately.

About You

Successful candidates should demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a labourer role, preferably within a hire depot/yard environment
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support colleagues with additional tasks
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced depot environment with high attention to detail
  • Full driving license is essential; forklift license and CSCS card are preferable
