Job description

Overview

Labourer position at a manufacturing company located in the outskirts of Ashford. Driving is required due to location. Temporary to permanent contract. Salary £12.28 per hour with overtime paid at higher rates. Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00–17:45 and Friday 8:00–16:15, or four days per week from 6:00–17:45.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wooden garden fencing, fence panels, garden gates, entrance gates and related products.
• Perform a significant amount of manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Utilise handheld tools and machinery to assemble products; operate saws and machines to cut wood.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Comfortable with physical, manual work; able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Previous experience with handheld tools, assembly, production, woodwork or labouring.
• Safety boots and hi-visibility attire are required.
