CABOT HIGHLANDS

Located in Inverness, Cabot Highlands is nestled in the breathtaking Scottish Highlands, with a rugged landscape that hugs the Moray Firth shoreline. POSITION OVERVIEW

To assist with all turf and course maintenance and general labour activities. You will need to have a good work ethic and a winning attitude. You will be enthusiastic and motivated by the variety of challenging tasks involved in world class golf course maintenance, grounds construction and landscape work and are eager to learn and develop new skills that result in world class turf.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Regularly cutting grass to the appropriate height for the sport or season

· Applying nutrients to keep the grass healthy and vibrant

· Using tools to create small holes in the soil to improve air, water, and nutrient penetration

· Setting up, operating, and maintaining watering systems to ensure the turf remains hydrated. op-dressing the grass with sand, soil, or other materials to maintain an even surface

· Repairing damaged or worn areas, particularly in high-traffic zones

· Implementing seasonal care routines, such as overseeding in the spring and autumn or frost-proofing in the winter

· Adapting maintenance practices based on weather patterns or specific climatic conditions

· Following health and safety regulations to protect themselves, colleagues, and players

· Ensuring pathways, equipment, and surfaces are safe for use by visitors and players

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

· Strong work ethic and good timekeeping skills

· Works well with others, contributing to shared Cabot goals and fostering a collaborative environment

· A proactive approach to challenges and problem solving, emphasizing finding workable and constructive solutions

· Possesses the ability to use time efficiently to complete tasks, meet deadlines, and balance responsibilities effectively

· Good fun to be around and enjoy working in a tight knit team

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow and wind.

· Communicate verbally with staff members and/or customers with or without the use of two-way radios.

Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, reaching, shoveling and/or raking.

- Fixed Term Contract. Duration to be discussed at Interview

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: £12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
