Job summary

A construction and civil engineering contractor is seeking a Labourer in Gloucester. You will assist with site operations, general groundworks, and utility installation. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a construction labourer, a CSCS card, and a driving licence. Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day site operations, supporting skilled trades and plant operators.
• Carry out general groundworks, including digging, backfilling, and site clearance.
• Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment safely around the site.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with health and safety standards.
• Set up and dismantle barriers, fencing, and signage to maintain safe working areas.
• Support utility installation and maintenance works, including laying pipes, ducts, and cables.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and site managers to ensure efficient workflow.
• Adhere to company policies, health & safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Operate basic tools and equipment, ensuring they are used correctly and stored safely.
• Provide flexibility in assisting with a variety of site-based tasks as required.
