We’re hiring an experienced Labourer for our local authority team – no CSCS card needed! Looking for steady, full-time work in Derby?

Labourer – Local Authority Repairs Team
Based in Derby | Full-time Hours | Monday – Thursday, 08:00 – 16:00, early finish on Fridays!
Ongoing Contract

Becky at JT Recruit is working in partnership with a well-established Local Authority Home Improvement & Repairs Team working across the Derby region. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to support essential roofing and guttering maintenance and general support to all trades on residential properties.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team delivering vital services that directly benefit the local community, with job security, consistent hours, and a supportive working environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assisting with roof repairs, gutter replacements, and general exterior maintenance
• Working safely at heights using ladders and access equipment
• Supporting skilled tradespeople and helping maintain safe, habitable homes

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in roofing, guttering, or similar exterior maintenance
• Comfortable working at heights and aware of relevant health & safety protocols
• A strong team player with a solid work ethic and positive attitude
• Access to your own transport is desirable

Requirements:

• Full-time availability (Mon–Thurs, 08:00–16:00, 15.30 finish on Fridays)
• Able to provide two years of work references
• Full PPE
• Commitment to working safely and delivering quality service to residents
