We are recruiting for a Labourer to join us here at Octavius, within our Highways team at Winterstoke.
This role is based in Winterstoke and involves regular on-site responsibilities. For operational efficiency, we are ideally looking for candidates who live locally or within a reasonable commuting distance.

As a Labourer at Octavius Regional Civil Engineering, you'll be part of a boots-on-the-ground team delivering critical infrastructure projects across highways frameworks. You'll carry out your work safely and to a high standard, supporting teams in the field while representing the values that drive everything we do.
Handle and move materials, tools, and equipment safely across sites.
Operate tools and machinery, ensuring all equipment is used correctly and safely.
Follow strict safety protocols to protect yourself and your teammates.
Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and fellow operatives to meet project goals.
Keep accurate records of your work and raise any issues to your manager.
Ensure all work meets our quality and compliance standards.
Look for ways to continuously improve your skills and support project success.

Experience working on construction sites
A strong awareness of site safety
Good communication and teamwork skills
Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights
CSCS card (preferred)
Additional tickets like PTS, Highways Passport, IPAF, or Slinger/Signaller (desirable but not essential)
