What will this role achieve?

Do you have experience as a Supply Chain Planner/Labour Co-ordinator in manufacturing, looking to lead, develop, and empower a team?

Would you like to work as part of the Site Management team at Carlisle, responsible for producing some of the nation's most loved biscuits and snacks?

This pivotal role reports to the site Supply Chain Manager, ensuring customer demand, labour, and training are balanced in the short, medium, and long term.

The role is multifaceted; you must manage both analytically and practically at a site level.

What will be your key deliverables?

  • Ensuring the site has the right labour establishment and skills by line to meet budgeted volumes.
  • Implementing a process to review labour establishment for short and medium-term planning.
  • Managing overtime spend against the budget.
  • Developing a Labour Management system/process that is fit for purpose.
  • Supporting training plans to address skills issues, with systems to track sign-off.
  • Delivering ongoing training plans to meet budgeted volumes.
  • Producing a process plan to minimize overtime and idle time.
  • Collaborating with the S&OP team to plan training delivery.
  • Managing relationships with agency providers.
  • Managing the overall plan.
  • Creating and developing a Labour Management team that meets site requirements.
  • Developing cross-skilling training plans for current team members.
  • Managing direct reports, coaching, and providing development opportunities within your team.
  • Supporting the working time directive policy on site.

Bring your experience.

  • Experience in FMCG manufacturing preferred.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement skills at all levels.
  • Highly analytical.
  • Operational management experience.
  • Experience with end-to-end Supply Chain processes.
  • Business and commercial awareness.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Food manufacturing experience.
  • Experience developing or implementing labour planning models.

  • Second stage: technical interview, case study, or presentation.
