Job Description

We're working with a client based in The West Midlands, seeking a Labour & Performance Operations Manager. The role reports into an Operations Director and is within the retail operations team.

The Labour & Performance Optimisation Manager is responsible for managing labour to optimize performance within stores. This role is crucial in driving labour efficiencies to deliver positive returns against budget and year-over-year improvements. Key responsibilities include owning and developing the labour model, mastering systems, evolving reporting, and working closely with the field and support functions.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Working across different functions with a passion for data-led decisions to guide and influence current and future store strategies.
  2. Being the gatekeeper of store profitability and ensuring initiatives are implemented effectively to maximize impact across the store estate.
  3. Driving store efficiencies to achieve positive financial results against budget and year-over-year targets.
  4. Owning and developing the labour model, mastering relevant systems, and evolving reporting capabilities.
  5. Managing store workload capacity to ensure sustainability and profitability when launching new initiatives or projects, avoiding store overloads.
  6. Having an understanding of retail store operations is preferable but not essential.
