Job Description:

A well-established, family-run food manufacturer based in the York area is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join its small, dedicated technical team.

Please note, this role involves over 4 days and is permanent weekend work Saturday-Tuesday, 7-4pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform analytical testing and quality checks on incoming raw materials and finished products
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Support process improvement and NPD activities
  • Conduct hygiene monitoring and uphold lab safety/cleanliness standards
  • Liaise with production, technical, and process teams to ensure quality expectations are met

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous lab or QA/QC experience, ideally within the food manufacturing sector
  • Understanding of laboratory testing methods and food safety protocols
  • A science-based qualification (degree, HND, A-levels) or equivalent experience
