Job description

Laboratory Technician – Southport, NC

This is a full-time, salary non-exempt position with rotating 12-hour shifts.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine analytical testing procedures accurately and timely
  • Use analytical results and feedback to determine calibration needs and adjustments for test equipment
  • Record and compile test results to prepare graphs, charts, and reports as required
  • Communicate results to internal/external customers via COAs, verbal, or written documentation
  • Provide independent oversight of processes, verifying compliance with standards and policies, and communicate deviations to Lab Techs and management
  • Schedule and execute sample submissions to external laboratories and document external testing results
  • Provide ongoing training and process improvement ideas for Lab Techs on evening shifts
  • Conduct routine quality control testing and maintain accurate QA records
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary laboratory environment
  • Participate actively in quality, food safety, and safety programs
  • Support the QFS Manager by verifying inventory of testing supplies and maintaining cleanliness

Additional Details:

Background checks are required. The pay range is $41,600 - $71,000, depending on factors such as experience and location. Overtime pay applies for qualifying hours.
