Avantor is seeking a detail-oriented, science-savvy Laboratory Technician - Histopathology to join our team in Cambridge, UK. This 12-month temporary role is ideal for recent science graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, while contributing to a digital pathology initiative. You will join a small team supporting the digitisation of historical tissue samples for AI model development.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine digital pathology slide scanning, ensuring high-quality image data and accurate metadata
  • Perform quality checks of scans, ensuring accuracy
  • Support laboratory operations, including maintaining cleanliness, managing supplies, and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and GLS standards
  • Contribute to a large AI-focused project, receiving training in digital pathology techniques and supporting innovative research initiatives

This full-time, temporary position (12 months) is based at our brand-new facility at The Discovery Centre, Bio-Medical Campus in Cambridge. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00
