CSA Group, headquartered in Canada with over 30 laboratories worldwide, is seeking a Laboratory Technician for Hazardous Locations. The role involves testing, data recording, interpreting results, and participating in R&D projects. Experience with standards such as IEC60079, IECEx, ATEX, and North American certification is preferred. Candidates should have a background in manufacturing, process, or compliance assessment, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities include:
  • Completing assigned projects on time and within budget
  • Performing test procedures, interpreting results, and compiling reports
  • Assembling/disassembling test samples and maintaining equipment
  • Interacting with clients and internal teams to provide information and feedback
  • Ensuring safety and quality standards are met
  • Documenting data and maintaining lab organization
  • Travel as needed for fieldwork
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Engineering or 5+ years of industrial electrical/electronic testing experience
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and testing procedures
  • Experience with measurement instruments and lab equipment
  • Ability to read and develop engineering drawings and test data
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
