Laboratory Technician, Food Manufacturing

Location: Bedfordshire

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000

Join a place where the business has significant growth in really interesting food categories, meaning excellent career opportunities for you as the Laboratory Technician.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a food manufacturing business where you will be responsible for carrying out accurate, timely, and efficient testing of products and raw materials to agreed standards.

This role would suit a chemistry, biology, or food science graduate with some relevant industry laboratory experience.

My client needs someone to start ASAP.

Working hours: Monday – Friday 8am-4pm, then Mon-Fri 10am – 6pm.

So, if you have the following knowledge and skills please get in touch:

  • Basic understanding of laboratory test methods and related instrumentation e.g. food analysis tests
  • Basic ‘wet chemistry’ laboratory skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Desirable but not essential:

  • Food safety training
  • Laboratory health and safety training
  • Ability to maintain and calibrate simple laboratory equipment
  • Ability to work independently when required
