Job description

The School of Engineering is seeking to appoint a Laboratory Technician for its Bioenergy and Organic Resources Research Group facilities, within the Department of Civil, Maritime and Environmental Engineering. These specialist facilities support the University’s strategic research initiatives in green and new energy technologies.

The School of Engineering is a leading centre for education, research, and enterprise, with a large and diverse engineering community. The Technical and Experimental team provides essential technical support across laboratories and workshops in areas including design, manufacturing, bioengineering, sound, vibration, environmental, maritime, civil, mechanical engineering, and materials.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will
  1. Have substantial technical experience in a relevant scientific discipline, including experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  2. Be an effective team member with strong communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders both within and outside the School of Engineering.
  3. Plan projects and work activities within established policies and procedures to solve complex technical problems.
