Job description

CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Assistant, to join a global leading food brand company, at their site based in Reading, on a contract basis for 6 months.

Salary:
£13.30 per hour PAYE.

Laboratory Assistant Role:

  • Will work flexibly across different departments including analytical, food product development and food manufacturing.
  • Provide high quality customer service at all times by ensuring effective organisation of assigned workload, integrity of analytical data generated and timely/accurate provision of results.
  • Perform a range of basic routine analysis, product manufacturing and sample preparation under supervision of a senior member of staff.
  • Use of specified instrumentation and laboratory equipment, including calibration where required.
  • Produce reliable, accurate data and keep accurate records of laboratory work undertaken and results.

Your Background:
  • Experience in the use of generic and specific software packages required for the role (LIMS system, Q-Pulse, etc.) would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of GLP/ GMP guidelines.
  • A-levels in a scientific discipline would be preferred.
  • Ability to operate basic laboratory and manufacturing equipment as required.
