The Role

Thanks to our innovative products and great team – we are proud that the business is continuing to grow. We now have an opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join our professional Research & Development team based in Midsomer Norton.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop new products for use in the UV InkJet market aligned with the company strategy.
  2. Develop and maintain application testing protocols; maintain SOPs and equipment (e.g., test equipment).
  3. Perform daily tasks in the laboratory as required.
  4. Engage in product development, including formulation and research of new and existing products.
  5. Interact with internal and external customers to advance product development and implementation in the Industrial InkJet segments.
  6. Apply scientific knowledge to problem-solving situations.
  7. Provide updates on project progress, with regular communication to project leaders.
  8. Ensure product compliance and safety commitments.
Qualifications / Experience Critical for the Job Holder
  • Practical knowledge in a relevant formulation laboratory environment, preferably aqueous.
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs (A*-C / 4+) with emphasis on science subjects; A Levels in Chemistry/Biology/Physics or related discipline preferred. Degree in Science related subject is advantageous but not essential.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
  • Ability to devise test methods, analyze results, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Strong team player with the ability to take ownership and responsibility for their work.
  • Ambitious, eager to learn, and possess a can-do attitude.
