Are you currently looking for a Site Engineer or Materials Technician role?

Ideally, you would already have experience in testing concrete, asphalt, or aggregates within the construction industry.

Job Type: Full-Time Permanent

Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Benefits: Competitive

Salary: £35,000-£40,000

Hours: Monday to Friday - 6:30/7:00am Start - 8 Hour Shift

Location: Gravesend

Role Responsibilities (Materials Tech/Site Engineer):

  • Routine inspections, sampling, and testing of aggregate/recycled and earthworks materials, concrete, and asphalt
  • Leading the production of compressive strength specimens
  • Participating in research and development projects involving particle size and density testing
  • Conducting physical material trials, reporting findings, and monitoring specific progress

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a test lab in construction, e.g., CET, Socotec, ESG, etc.
  • Experience as a construction materials technician, laboratory technician, or site engineer within construction.
  • Knowledge of granular materials sampling, particle size distribution testing, and strength testing would be beneficial.
  • A desire to learn and develop within this role; attitude is crucial.
