Job summary

ALS Limited is seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician in Ely to support delivery of reliable analytical data and maintain high quality standards. The role involves following documented methods, performing analyses, and contributing to quality control while adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies.

You will work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with a fixed-term contract until March 2028 and a salary of £27,867.36 plus a GMP allowance.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, including Science, Maths and English.
• An A level, or equivalent qualification, in a scientific subject.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, documented procedures and laboratory methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out allocated laboratory work in accordance with documented methodologies and procedures.
• Perform analysis within agreed timescales to ensure results meet customer expectations.
• Complete daily quality control checks and equipment calibrations.
• Follow ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 17025:2017 standards.
