Job description

A global testing group providing innovative solutions to the engineering sectors has a new vacancy for a Laboratory Technician to join the team. You will ensure that products meet stringent quality standards by conducting lab tests and evaluating the results whilst supporting the development of new processes. Candidates are sought with previous experience of Chemical Testing gained in a highly regulated industry

Commutable from: Leicester, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Rugby, Loughborough, Coalville.

Suitable for: Laboratory Technician, Lab Technician, Chemical Lab Technician, Quality Inspector, Inspector.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct laboratory tests to evaluate the quality and functionality of components.

Maintain test equipment and laboratory tools.

Record, analyse, and report test data accurately and efficiently.

Carrying out chemical and mechanical laboratory tests

Preparing chemical solutions

Support the development and optimization of manufacturing processes by providing data-driven insights.

Keep equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.

Assist in the calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot quality issues.

Assist with continuous improvement initiatives.

The Person:

Knowledge of Chemical or Mechanical Testing.

Previous experience in a laboratory or technical role (ideally within a testing, manufacturing or engineering environment).

A-Level in Chemistry.

Ability to interpret technical data and apply to problem-solving.

Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
