JOB DESCRIPTION: Laboratory Technician

We are looking for a talented Laboratory Technician to manage the day-to-day quality control of our laboratory. In return, you will be given a defined progression plan for your career development and future growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supporting the day-to-day function of a laboratory environment
• Guaranteeing all raw material deliveries are accurately labelled and recorded onto the LMS
• Inspecting all raw materials to ensure customer specifications and quality standards are met
• Sampling and testing competitor products and reporting findings
• Dispatching samples to clients and confirming receipt
• Investigating and managing non-conformities through root cause analysis
• Escalating concerns that may negatively affect the business
• Ensuring stock rotation aligns with SOPs

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Proven experience working within a technical laboratory environment, ideally in polyesters, chemicals, coatings, additives, resins, paints, epoxy, food, or pharmaceuticals
• Degree level education in a chemical or biological discipline preferred
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and 18001/45001 is advantageous
• Analytical with strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in IT packages such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
