Laboratory Technician

Title: Laboratory Technician
Salary: £12.50 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week

Working on behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to assist over the summer (3 month initial period). We are looking for individuals who have a real interest in working in a busy laboratory environment.

About You

1. You will be computer literate, able to work on your own initiative, and be used to working as part of a small, flexible team.
2. You will be flexible in your approach and enjoy training and learning new skills.

The Role and What You Will Learn:

1. Carry out analysis by wet chemistry techniques.
2. Analyse samples for vitamins, mineral analysis, and enzymes together with NIR analysis of raw materials, feeds, and forages.
3. Assist the Services Manager, Senior Analyst, and Senior NIR Technician in the effective performance of their duties.
4. Specific responsibility for all aspects of sample preparation.
5. Ensure the laboratories, stock rooms, and associated areas and all equipment within are clean and properly maintained.
6. Ensure that all samples are stored correctly and clearly.
