How You Can Make Your Mark

Make Your Mark as a Laboratory Supervisor at Gardline!

As a Laboratory Supervisor, you are responsible for the supervision of the Laboratory Technicians, work distribution and prioritization, and to train personnel on laboratory testing programs.

Your Responsibilities

1. Oversee receipt of samples, check against pro-forma and book into Laboratory system.
2. Display competency in basic lab testing.
3. Understand and be responsible for safety in the working environment.
4. Contribute to the effectiveness of the service through positive support and joint working with colleagues throughout the company.
5. Ensure all Company HSSE policies are known and observed.
6. Assist with any other reasonable duties as requested by the line manager. Training will be provided if required.

Your Qualities

You can move ahead as a Laboratory Supervisor if you have:

1. Ability to become familiar with testing procedures and standards.
2. Experience working in a laboratory environment (desirable).
3. Experience supervising a team (desirable).
4. Ability to manage own and others' performance.
5. Have a strong understanding of HSE.
6. Flexible and adaptable; to work in a changing environment and be open to new ideas.
7. Display a proactive approach in taking work issues forward.
8. Problem-solving; uses initiative and assertiveness within remit.

1. Where you will work: Endeavour House, Admiralty Road, Great Yarmouth, NR30 3NG.
2. Fulltime/part-time job: The position of function is a fulltime (37.5 hours a week).
