Summary

The Supervisor - Laboratory role provides day-to-day supervision to the laboratory team, including operations and human resources management. This position is responsible for scheduling, work distribution, providing technical direction, and developing, monitoring, and improving departmental quality according to performance standards. Ensures completion of training and competency assessments. May perform laboratory functions when needed.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or a similar field required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Certification in one or more of the following: MT, MLT, MLS, CLS, CHT, CHS, CG, CT, HT, HTL, ASCP Scientist/Specialist (BB, C, H, M, MB, SBB, SC, SH, SM) required (ASCP, AMT, HEW, ABHI).
3. Experience: Two years of experience as an MLT/MT required. Previous Lead or Supervisor experience preferred.
4. Additional Skills/Requirements: N/A
