Job Description

Russell-Taylor Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Seed Analyst in Charge to join a reputable company as their Laboratory Manager. You will be responsible for a small team of three lab staff and provide seed testing services, ensuring that all seeds processed comply with seed certification regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct seed testing activities - purity, germination, moisture content.
2. Comply with all legal responsibilities in line with seed certification regulations.
3. Maintain a clean and safe work environment and oversee calibration, maintenance, and validation of laboratory equipment.
4. Train all staff accordingly and ensure that they have the correct PPE.
5. Undertake the responsibilities for a licensed seed sampler.
6. Work in close collaboration with the Production Manager.

Skills Required

1. Seed Analyst in Charge qualification accepted by DEFRA.
2. Qualified in categories of seed.
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
4. Open to candidates with a seed analyst in charge qualification who haven't managed before and are seeking the next step up.
5. Previous experience working in a laboratory environment.
