Job description

Labcorp is a leading global life sciences company that includes contract research and developmental services to the pharmaceutical, medical technology, crop protection and chemical industries.

At our site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire we are looking for an experienced Laboratory Scientist to join our expanding Immunology and Immunotoxicology (I&I) department. This is a full-time, permanent position working Tuesday – Saturday.

Working as part of our growing I&I department, you will undertake analysis of pre-clinical and clinical samples within the operational team.The work in this department supports multiplexed & high sensitivity biomarker analysis, immunogenicity assessment, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic assessment of novel therapeutics.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing the maintenance on the equipment within the laboratory

  • Sample analysis using a variety of analytical techniques e.g include ELISA Flow cytometry, and Cell culture work

  • Producing high quality data within allocated timelines

  • Coordination of studies from ordering reagents through to data generation

  • Organising and replenishing stock and general housekeeping tasks

  • Training tasks

  • Adherence to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) regulations

What we need from you:

  • Relevant scientific Degree e.g. Immunology, Biology, Biomedical science

  • Recent years of relevant experience working within industry as a scientist with expertise in ligand binding, flow cytometry or cell based assays

  • Experience working in a regulatory environment is advantageous

  • Experience with technologies such as Luminex, MSD, ELISA, FACS Lyric, or cell culture is preferred

  • Willingness to learn
