Job summary

Eleven is seeking a motivated Graduate Scientist to support laboratory research focused on advanced materials for a clean tech startup. This lab-based role is ideal for hands-on experimental work and contributing to cutting-edge technology development.

Responsibilities include conducting routine experiments, adhering to COSHH and risk assessments, planning daily lab activities, maintaining records, and communicating results clearly.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a laboratory-based environment.
• A degree in Chemistry, Applied Science or another relevant scientific discipline is desirable.
• Experience with experimental planning would also be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine laboratory experiments to support R&D and technology development.
• Follow rigorous health, safety, quality and environmental standards, including COSHH and risk assessments.
• Plan day‑to‑day laboratory activities effectively in support of wider scientific objectives.
• Maintain accurate electronic and hard‑copy experimental and quality records.
• Communicate experimental progress and results clearly, both verbally and electronically.
