About Oxford Biotherapeutics

Oxford Biotherapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company specializing in antibody therapeutics for cancer treatment. We focus on discovering new antibody-based oncology therapeutics using our OGAP verify platform, the world's largest cancer-specific membrane protein library. Our pipeline includes novel biologics, with our lead asset, OBT076, in Phase 1b clinical development. We collaborate with industry leaders like Roche and Boehringer Ingelheim.

Purpose of the Role

The role involves laboratory research to identify new cancer therapeutic targets, utilizing techniques such as proteomics, mass spectrometry, human tissue analysis, and data analysis. Adherence to regulatory standards and general lab duties are also required. Training will be provided.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and processing of human tissues.
  • Operate mass spectrometers and chromatography systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and tissue handling regulations.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet project goals and team objectives.
  • Cultivate cell lines and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Record, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
  • BSc in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field; MSc preferred.
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture or human tissues is desirable.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and work confidently in a lab environment.
  • Accurate record-keeping skills.
  • Willingness to be vaccinated against Hepatitis B if not already vaccinated.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with proteomics and mass spectrometry is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
