The Transplant and Cellular Immunology Laboratory, situated at St James's University Hospital in Leeds, is seeking a talented and enthusiastic laboratory/patient pathway coordinator.
The Transplant Assessment and Relative Opportunity Tool (TAROT) is a novel approach to guiding difficult-to-transplant patients through the pathway with the aim of increasing transplant opportunities; this programme requires a pathway coordinator to support its successful implementation and ongoing operation.
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the laboratory and clinical teams involved in the complex immunological interventions that comprise TAROT.

The Transplant Immunology Laboratory provides scientific support to all of the transplant programmes operated by Leeds Teaching Hospitals. The team works very closely with clinical teams across the Trust to ensure our patients are transplanted safely and effectively.

Job Purpose/Summary: To provide a comprehensive secretarial/administrative service to the Transplant Immunology team in support of the TAROT programme. The successful applicant will work flexibly, adapting to changing demands within the team. The postholder must communicate sensitively and effectively with a wide range of people, including patients, medical staff, coordinator teams nationally, and the wider multidisciplinary team. Confidentiality and discretion are imperative at all times.
The postholder will be based at St James's, undertaking administrative responsibilities in support of the laboratory and coordinator teams, including understanding the roles of donor coordinator, live donor coordinator, and renal recipient coordinator, as well as laboratory interactions. Knowledge of procurement and transplant aspects (approx. 60 donors and 240 transplants per year) is essential. Exercise safe handling of office equipment, including sensitive data.
