NeoGenomics is seeking a Laboratory Operations Manager at our Babraham, UK site, who is eager to learn and contribute to our company's growth.

Position Summary:

The Manager of Operations is responsible for planning, coordinating, evaluating, and supervising all technical and operational activities and personnel in the laboratory. This role ensures compliance with quality assurance, safety, and accreditation standards and oversees various projects assigned by the Site or Department Director.

Position Objectives:

Under the guidance of the Site Director, Department Director, or Medical Laboratory Director, the Manager ensures the effective performance of all laboratory operations. Responsibilities include:

  1. Presenting data and information across all levels, including staff, managers, and clients, and answering questions effectively.
  2. Recommending and endorsing test methods, including validation, documentation, and implementation.
  3. Initiating and monitoring quality assurance programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
  4. Reporting issues or abnormal findings to the Medical Laboratory Director for resolution.
  5. Ensuring the quality of service meets internal and external client requirements and addressing all requests.
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science from an accredited institution, with at least four years of pertinent laboratory experience, including two years in a clinical laboratory at the doctoral level.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in a relevant science, with at least six years of clinical laboratory experience, including two years working under a doctoral-level director.
  • Five or more years of progressive responsibility in a clinical laboratory preferred.
  • At least six years of experience in high-complexity testing in the assigned specialty preferred.
  • At least four years of direct supervision in a clinical lab.
