Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world-leading global organisation — our FMCG client, the powerhouse behind brands such as Persil, Surf, Comfort, Domestos, and Cif, has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Operational Coordinator based at our prestigious Research & Development Facility in Port Sunlight, Wirral.
This is a full-time, temporary role until the end of September 2025, working 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of up to £29,719 per annum (pro-rata), depending on experience.
We are inviting applications from candidates with a degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject to gain experience in a laboratory environment within a leading global FMCG organisation.

Background
As part of an ongoing initiative within the Port Sunlight R&D laboratories to improve efficiencies, a new Operational Excellence Team has been created. This team supports the daily activities of scientists working in labs and pilot plants, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained facility. The team focuses on implementing new and optimized processes to drive continual improvement.
Job Purpose
The Laboratory Operational Coordinator provides support services to the Port Sunlight R&D scientific and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a keen awareness of laboratory operational requirements to maximize productivity and be skilled in laboratory processes such as formulation, characterization, and performance testing. They should also be capable of following protocols and processes for efficient laboratory operations.
