The Cambridge Institute for Medical Research (CIMR) is recruiting an organized, team-oriented individual with basic tissue culture skills for the position of Research Assistant/Lab Manager. The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor's degree, good organizational skills, and basic experience in cell culture and cell biology. The role involves managing a vibrant lab (50% of the time) and assisting with research projects (50% of the time). The research will primarily involve cell biology techniques, working in the lab of Professor David Rubinsztein at CIMR, part of the UK Dementia Research Institute.

This is a full-time position; however, applications for part-time work will be considered. Part-time applicants should work at least 18.5 hours per week, with a balance of lab management and research duties. Ideally, working hours would be spread over five days (Monday-Friday) to meet operational needs.
The funding is available for up to 18 months initially, and the position is available immediately.
The CIMR is located on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and functions at the interface of fundamental research and clinical application, aiming to elucidate disease mechanisms to improve human health.
