Laboratory Manager

Up to £66,000 - Depending on experience

Kidderminster

There is now a great opportunity to join a well-established engineering company that designs, develops and manufactures a range of bespoke products as a Laboratory Manager. As a Laboratory Manager your role will focus on managing Laboratory Technicians, managing the manufacturing processes, managing hazardous materials and carrying out tests on both existing and new products.

Laboratory Manager Responsibilities;

  • Developing products that meets engineering specifications
  • Overseeing the manufacturing processes and identifying continuous improvement opportunities
  • Managing hazardous materials and ensuring that they are handled correctly
  • Providing technical support to Laboratory Technicians and the wider engineering team.
  • Investigating and resolving material and manufacturing problems

Laboratory Manager Requirements;

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a science-based subject
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
  • Previous experience of handling hazardous chemicals
  • Experienced working within a laboratory environment
  • Must be comfortable in presenting findings
  • Must be a team player
