Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for a Laboratory Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Manager to join their team in Dundonald.

  • Location: Dundonald
  • Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Rate of Pay: £19.10 per hour
About the Role

As Laboratory ICT Manager, you will be responsible for the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and other IT systems used across Pathology. You'll ensure these systems meet operational and business needs, working closely with the Trust ICT Department to support a 24/7 laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain LIMS and associated application systems
  • Oversee master files, user accounts, and access levels
  • Coordinate system changes, updates, and testing
  • Maintain and map test, user, source, and read codes
  • Develop maintenance schedules and troubleshoot issues
  • Monitor and audit data quality across laboratory IT systems
  • Merge patient records within LIMS
  • Support electronic order requesting systems in collaboration with Trust ICT
Essential Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • A University Degree in ICT with at least 2 years' experience in an ICT role
  • A HND or equivalent in an ICT-related subject with at least 3 years' experience
  • At least 6 years' experience in an ICT role

Additionally, candidates must have:

  • Demonstrable experience using data processing/statistical analysis software (e.g. Business Objects)
  • Experience working with ICT networks, peripherals, and hardware
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car (reasonable adjustments will be made for applicants with disabilities)
