Based in Leatherhead, you'll support laboratory test projects on products like underwater cables, propellors, and turbines, performing test analysis and diagnosing failures. Tasks include working with equipment for X-Ray Fluorescence, Infra-Red Spectroscopy, and measuring chemical levels. This role suits an inquisitive, motivated school leaver eager to develop technical skills and pursue a career in Materials Science.

  • Starting salary: £24,000/year, increasing to minimum/living wage after 12 months
