Lab Analyst – Glass Manufacturing (Early Start)

39hours per week – early start ~06:30am.Flexi-time available.

Are you passionate about science and ready to apply your lab skills in a dynamic, industrial environment? We are seeking a Lab Analyst to join our analytical laboratory team, working closely with production and technical teams to ensure quality across our float, coated and laminated glass manufacturing processes.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform a range of tests on raw materials (e.g. cullet and sand) and finished glass products
• Conduct float glass and laminate testing including:

Glass chemistry testing (using XRF and other techniques)

UV and energy transmission measurements

Stress analysis and defect identification (20–30 samples per day)

Humidity testing

• Ensure critical float line testing is completed by 8:00am for daily production meetings
• Collaborate closely with technical and production teams to maintain quality and address any issues
• Operate in a lab environment with strong ties to manufacturing processes

What We’re Looking For:

• A science background – ideally with a focus in chemistry, materials science, or a related field
• Strong laboratory experience, particularly in analytical testing
• An understanding of glass manufacturing or industrial lab work (desirable but not essential)
• A team player who is proactive, precise, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
