Laboratory Services Support

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Laboratory Services Support professional to provide high-quality support across various laboratory areas. Position: Laboratory Services Support

Location: Manchester
Type: Full time permanent role


What You'll Be Doing:

As a vital member of our team, you will:

Process glassware and plastics using industrial washing machines.
Assist in collecting dirty glassware from laboratories and returning it to Lab Services.
Operate and maintain equipment such as autoclaves and drying ovens.
Provide glassware, plastics, sterile water, and solutions as requested.
Ensure that laboratory areas are stocked daily with essential items.
Serve as the point of contact for lab staff, fostering effective communication.
Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Laboratory Services Manager.

Who We're Looking For:

You should have:

Experience working in a team and knowledge of manual handling.
The ability to accurately carry out routine procedures to set standards.
Previous laboratory experience, particularly in the preparation of sterile solutions and media (desirable).

Essential Skills:


Excellent hand/eye coordination and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Flexibility and a proactive approach to work.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively.
