About Our Client

My client is a well known billion pound manufacturing organisation looking for a Labelling Coordinator based in Wednesbury to support the team.

Job Description

  • Manage all packaging design projects effectively, communicating with all relevant internal & external stakeholders, e.g. Sales Account Managers, Commercial Management, NPD Manager, Technical, Designer Houses and Suppliers.
  • Proofread, approve, and accurately file packaging artwork files, paying close attention to any applicable regulatory requirements, Barcodes, Ingredient declarations, Colour management and all other details linked to the artwork sign-off process.
  • Follow the NPD / Artwork process, ensuring all relevant documents are completed and updated accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively on jobs/progress to relevant staff in weekly project management meetings / NPD meetings via e-mail, Teams & meetings.
  • Liaise with printers to understand relevant print processes to help achieve the best final print outcome and delivery on time.
  • Accept and check all samples against final repro files and visual check for print quality and colours.
  • Maintain the image library on our shared drive.
  • To share artwork images internally if requested by Marketing or Management.
  • Dispatch packaging/colour swatches as and when required as per the artwork process.
  • To work with Marketing to ensure that images are kept up to date and filed correctly onthe system.
  • To request barcodes for new artwork and to ensure that barcodes are checked methodically and accurately.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Labelling Coordinator should have:

  • Need to have worked in a food business - min 2 years of experience
  • Must have packaging experience - especially dealing with design houses, artwork, cutter guides and barcodes - minimum 2 years experience
  • Someone who works well under pressure
  • Needs to be able to prioritise and work methodically and conscientiously, and manage their own workload
  • Need to be proficient in SAP, Access and Excel
  • Good communication skills, especially email-written comms
  • Can commute to Wednesbury
