Job summary

BD is seeking a Technical Operator for the Medical Device Labelling Centre in Plymouth. You will operate Mark Andy and Edale presses, manage slit/rewind equipment and ensure GMP-compliant production. Training is provided for the right candidate.

The role requires manufacturing or printing experience, accuracy, and teamwork. Working 3pm-11pm with a 25% shift premium, you will use SAP and MS Office to support production and maintain records across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience within a manufacturing, production, technical or printing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• A flexible approach and willingness to support overtime when required.
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of Mark Andy/Edale printing presses and associated Slit and Rewind machines.
• Be aware of the required quality standards in the allocated work areas and perform to the required levels.
• Follow operational procedures and adhere to quality standards.
• Perform manufacturing operations with GMP and environmental requirements to meet company expectations.
• Use SAP systems and general computer use (Excel/Word).
• Maintain logs and records as required for the process.
• Maintain equipment and allocated work areas in a clean and safe condition at all times.
• Engage in Kaizen/CI participation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across the site to support production requirements.
