Job summary

BD's Medical Device Labelling Centre in Plymouth is seeking a Technical Operator to support manufacturing of labels across the site. You will operate Mark Andy and Edale presses, follow GMP and maintain quality, using SAP and Office tools to record production and logs.

The role offers 3pm–11pm shifts with a 25% shift premium; training provided. This is ideal for those with manufacturing or printing experience who value teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience within a manufacturing, production, technical or printing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Excel and Word.
• A flexible approach and willingness to support overtime when required.
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of Mark Andy/Edale printing presses and associated Slit and Rewind machines.
• Maintain required quality standards and adhere to GMP and environmental requirements.
• Complete manufacturing activities safely and efficiently to meet customer and business expectations.
• Use SAP systems and general computer applications to support production processes.
• Maintain production logs and records and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate across site.
