Job summary

Freudenberg Sealing Technologies is seeking a Laboratory Support Operator to prepare test samples and moulds, conduct testing, and support trials in a safety‑minded environment. You will handle band saws, routers, lathes, sanders and CNC machinery, maintain samples, and assist with maintenance duties.

The role requires practical skills with cutting tools, good general education, and the ability to work flexible hours. Prior lab experience is advantageous, and safety with chemicals is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience using general hand tools.
• Experience operating cutting or machining equipment.
• Familiarity with laboratory or testing environments would be advantageous.
• Awareness of safe handling practices when working with chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test samples and moulds for testing.
• Manage and maintain laboratory test samples.
• Prepare test samples using equipment including band saws, routers, lathes, sanders and CNC machinery.
• Prepare moulds by cleaning, assembling and maintaining them for testing activities.
• Support departmental trials by gathering materials, weighing components and mixing materials.
• Conduct testing in accordance with documented procedures and international standards.
• Support departmental maintenance activities, including cleaning, replenishing supplies, painting and minor repairs.
• Work shifts as required to meet operational requirements.
