Overview

MCS Group is recruiting a Lab Technician/Systems Test Engineer for a contract position based in a major global manufacturing firm in Lisburn.

This client is a true leader in their markets, and they export their products globally to meet the demands of the power & utilities industry.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on engineer who will, working in a multi-disciplinary environment, set up and review both hardware and software in house test systems. In this role the primary function will be to work in the Lab to setup and configure the test equipment within the Lab based in Lisburn. Following this you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills by getting involved in the reviewing of requirements and verification of both functional and performance requirement tests.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure test equipment in the Lisburn Lab.
• Review requirements and verify functional and performance tests.
• Engage in multi-disciplinary collaboration to support hardware and software in house test systems.

Qualifications

• A Degree or HNC (with significant experience) in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics or Engineering with knowledge of test plan & test case creation.
• Experience in a relevant engineering industry or similar Test/Lab engineering role with the ability to use signal generators/oscilloscopes and multi-meters, read BOMs and wiring diagrams, along with the ability to work with PCB boards and ensuring ESD safety.
• Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills along with a strong ability to plan, present and report on complex data.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
