Starting Pay

$26.69+ 7% nightshift differential. Increase at 1 year to $29.16+ 7% nightshift differential.

General Duties

• Conduct laboratory testing following PMO, Standard Methods for the Dairy Industry, and FDA 2400 methods.
• Pull, log, and analyze finish product and processing samples.
• Sample incoming raw materials and packaging for quality acceptance.
• Audit CIP chemical concentrations for compliance.
• Prepare media and lab controls, including pour plates and buffers.
• Operate autoclave and ensure sterility of plates and equipment.
• Assist with lab equipment preventive maintenance.
• Inoculate batch tanks with enzymes and vitamins, and record usage.
• Maintain cleanliness and setup for shelf life testing.
• Participate in environmental testing (swabbing, air plating, water sampling).
• Verify sanitation of plant equipment before startup.
• Perform tasks related to food safety and product quality.

Education and Experience

• BS/BA in a related science or equivalent experience in a food manufacturing quality role.
• Experience in food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of microbiology, chemistry, dairy standards, and CIP sanitation.
