Job description

Lab Technician

Impact Recruitment is working in partnership with a respected organisation to recruit a Lab Technician for their expanding testing laboratory based in Kettering. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering structured training and development within a collaborative team environment.

This position is suited to candidates with a scientific background, either through education or experience, who are keen to work in a hands-on laboratory setting. You will be responsible for performing chemical testing procedures, maintaining analytical equipment, and ensuring all data is accurately recorded in line with laboratory standards.

Salary: £25,000

Location: Kettering

Hours: 10am - 6pm | Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

* Carrying out chemical testing procedures in a laboratory environment

* Recording and documenting results clearly and accurately

* Conducting routine maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments

* Following established testing protocols and quality procedures

* Maintaining up-to-date training records

* Adhering to all relevant health and safety practices

Requirements:

* Previous laboratory experience or strong academic background in science (GCSE or higher)

* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

* High level of accuracy and attention to detail

* Strong time management and organisational skills

* Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines

* Motivated, reliable, and flexible with a proactive attitude

* Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
